October 22, 2026
The building at 5204 Colleyville Boulevard has been dark since Zafiros Mexican Grill Y Cantina closed in November 2024. People still give directions by it. Most people who drive Colleyville Boulevard know the spot at 4605 as the old Shipley Do-nuts. This fall both buildings are getting new tenants, along with a string of suites in Colleyville Towne Square. Most of what's new in Colleyville this winter is moving into storefronts the town already has a name for.
The signs going up suggest a lot is about to open. The paperwork behind them is less certain. As of the third week of October, none of the four biggest announced openings on the boulevard has a confirmed opening day. The city's holiday calendar, a few blocks away on Main Street, has its dates set down to the minute.
Lucile's Stateside Bistro, the Fort Worth restaurant, is putting its second location in the old Zafiros space in The Village. The City of Colleyville announced it on Facebook in March, and Community Impact reported the announcement, including a quote from Mayor Bobby Lindamood:
"We are excited to welcome Lucile's to Colleyville! With their strong following and high quality dining, they are a perfect fit for our community."
Since that announcement the project has moved forward in public records. City Council approved special use permits for parking and alcohol sales on June 16, Community Impact noted in its August roundup. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation covers a renovation of roughly 6,735 square feet at an estimated $275,000. Construction was registered to start July 24 and finish September 25, 2026.
That September date is a construction estimate. It isn't an opening date. The public timeline for Lucile's still says "late 2026," and the restaurant hasn't announced a specific day for Colleyville.
The menu is easier to pin down. Community Impact lists chicken-fried steak, fried butterflied shrimp, a lobster roll, soups and salads. The Lucile's website describes lunch and dinner seven days a week, with breakfast on weekends, plus wine, cocktails and a dessert menu. Those hours come from the Fort Worth restaurant. The Colleyville schedule hasn't been posted.
A few blocks south, Tick Tock Taco is turning the former Shipley Do-nuts at 4605 Colleyville Boulevard into its second location. The building's drive-thru habit fits. The Star-Telegram reported in September that the restaurant will have a lobby and a patio but will run mostly as a drive-thru.
North Texas couple Anum Khan and Moe Arsalan own it. They started three years ago with Churro On Top in Fairview and later added tacos to that restaurant. Arsalan explained the concept to the Star-Telegram:
"I have not seen a taco concept, a crafty taco concept, that's in a drive-thru model that serves fresh organic meat and proteins."
The tacos are global mashups like hot teriyaki chicken, beef bulgogi, firecracker shrimp and carne asada. Community Impact reported that the menu uses halal and organic ingredients and that dessert is churros from Churro on Top. Arsalan told the Star-Telegram the menu might be cut to about eight tacos so a drive-thru kitchen can keep them consistent.
Here the timeline splits. On September 10 the Star-Telegram reported a late November opening, with construction still in progress. Tick Tock Taco's own locations page says "Coming Late October 2026." Late October starts now. If the restaurant's page is right, this is the first opening on the list that could show up before Halloween. If the newspaper is right, it opens the same week as the tree lighting.
The busiest address on this list is a strip center residents may not know by name. Colleyville Towne Square covers 5600 through 5604 Colleyville Boulevard, according to its property manager, and it has the most new tenants of any spot on the boulevard.
The center's one confirmed recent opening is Baskin-Robbins, which opened July 3 in Suite 5600-D. Three more tenants are on the way, at different stages:
Taken together, these make the center's mix more family and errand oriented: ice cream, a sandbox with party rooms, and takeout meals. Baskin-Robbins is open. Little Diggers, Lean Kitchen and Back 9 are all still waiting on an opening day.
Some changes along the boulevard are already finished, and they tend to get less attention than the announcements. Atlas & Orion Creative Exchange sells handmade artisan goods and runs workshops. In September it opened a larger retail and workshop space at 4121 Colleyville Boulevard, Suite 2, Community Impact reported. As the holidays approach, it's the one new space on this stretch that's confirmed open and set up for hands-on classes.
Here's how the list looks this week:
| Business | Address | Space | Public status |

| Little Diggers | 5600 Colleyville Blvd., Ste. J | Colleyville Towne Square | Targeted October, still "Coming Soon" |
| Lean Kitchen | 5604 Colleyville Blvd. | Colleyville Towne Square | "Late 2026" |

The City of Colleyville's special events page lists two evenings between now and Thanksgiving, each with a start time already published.
Haunted Trails, Thursday, October 29, Colleyville Nature Center. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the haunted walk runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The city bills this year's edition as "more trick than treat" and recommends it for pre-teens and older. It isn't meant for the youngest trick-or-treaters.
Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration, Saturday, November 21, City Hall, 100 Main Street. The evening runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Santa and Mayor Lindamood come down Main Street at 5:45 p.m., and the tree lighting follows. The city's event page lists balloon artists, photos with Santa, food trucks, choir performances, reindeer, and a mailbox on the City Hall steps for letters to Santa. It also lists Jingle Bell Junction, a Christmas trunk-or-treat run by local businesses and organizations. The choir lineup and a community movie screening are still marked TBD.
One change this year affects local groups more than spectators. The community decorated Christmas tree display is moving indoors, and the trees will be on view during the lighting event. Winners will be announced that night. Applications are due November 2, priority goes to Colleyville community groups, and selected participants hear back by November 3. Spots are limited.
One familiar event is off the calendar. The city canceled the 2026 Fire Department Open House.
The tree lighting is set for November 21. Tick Tock Taco's two reported windows both land before or around it. Lucile's and Lean Kitchen are both pegged to "late 2026," a window that runs past the lighting and into December. Little Diggers' October target ends a week after this post publishes. Some of the new names may be lit up by the night Santa comes down Main Street, and some may still have paper on the windows. This week, the newest Colleyville Boulevard spaces a resident can walk into without checking a website first are Atlas & Orion Creative Exchange at 4121 Colleyville Boulevard, Suite 2, and Baskin-Robbins in Colleyville Towne Square.
